SCHH ARC Kicks Off the Holidays
Dinner at Jameson’s a Great Time for All in Attendance
Twenty four members and guests kicked off the holiday season in fine fashion at Jameson’s Char House last Thursday evening. Service at the restaurant was friendly and few if any complaints about the food and drink were heard.

Bob Officer, WA6WAY, came up with three door prizes that were awarded through a drawing, including a tri-band HT that was taken home by Charlie Bess, AD5EN. Most hams agree that there is no such thing as having too many radios!
Bob’s wife, Sharon, crafted wonderful holiday ornaments that were placed along both of our tables. Lucky members got to bring one of them home to add to their homes’ holiday decorations.

Outgoing club president Harve Hnatiuk, KB3FW, thanked all for coming out for the evening’s festivities and noted the high level of participation that our ARC members have demonstrated through the past two years.

Harve introduced the club’s new officers for 2025: Daryl Borgman, WB1DXN (2025 President), Bob McCormick, KD8IH (Vice President), Lon Seward, WB4KSG (Treasurer), and Bill Albro, K3WPA (Secretary). Harve will also serve on the ARC’s board as the Immediate Past President.

New members and relatively new members in attendance were also recognized including Dan Kreshak (KO4AQI), Lonnie Trotta (AD2LT), Bill Albro (K3WPA), and Chuck Nehonsky (W8NCA), who was participating in a club in-person gathering for the first time.

Members and guests who came to the Holiday Dinner included Lon and Judy Seward, Bob Officer, Chip and Mary Ann Miller, Bob Kennedy, Lonnie Trotta, Ron and Roberta Kramer, Bob McCormick, Harve and Cyndee Hnatiuk, Larry and Reba Ross, Charlie Bess, Ken Finke, Jack Frisch, Chuck Nehonsky, Dan Kreshak, Ron Frick, Shem and Nancy Goossman, Bill Albro, and Daryl Borgman.
Many thanks to Bob Officer, WA6WAY, for coordinating our event with the folks at Jameson’s and for lining up the door prizes. Thanks also to Lon Seward for taking photos during the dinner.
More photos from the evening will be in next week’s This & That.
Wishing everyone in our ARC the happiest of holiday seasons and a safe, happy, and healthy 2025!
