SCHH ARC “This & That” — February 4, 2025
Come See SCTV on Thursday!
Membership Meeting at Pinckney Hall Will Follow Sun City TV Tour
The SCHH ARC will be welcomed guests at the Sun City Television (SCTV) facilities at Pinckney Hall on Thursday evening.
SCTV will provide tours for our members beginning around 6:30 PM.
Our monthly membership meeting will be held in the Congaree River Room at Pinckney after the tours.
Here is the plan for Thursday evening:
— Members are to arrive at the Congaree River Room at Pinckney Hall beginning at 6:15 PM.
— There will be a sign-up sheet on the counter/table just inside the door to the Congaree River Room. See below.
— Upon arrival, sign in using the sign-up sheet. As you can see, we will have groups of four. The first four sign-ups will go on the first tour. Ensuing groups will follow. Tours will be separated by at least five minutes.
— Members will be accommodated on a first come-first served basis.
— If we have more than 20 members coming out for the tour, we will try to accommodate any overflow…but, there are no guarantees.
— The general membership meeting will begin at the conclusion of the final tour of the evening and after any post-tour remarks by the SCTV team inside our meeting room.
— Note that the meeting room itself is relatively small. We may have Standing Room Only for the meeting.
Hope to see a good group of members at the tour and meeting!
There’s Still Time to Plan a Trip to HamCation!
Usually, a few members of the SCHH ARC make the trip to Orlando for HamCation. It is a huge ham radio event.
Certificates!
Maybe we should call this “Certificate Week”. If you have recently received a ham radio-related certificate or award, please send a scan of it to Harve (hnat463@gmail.com), This & That will try to periodically include these in upcoming issues.

SCHH ARC Nets

Can you help our nets by being a Net Control Station?
We have two regular net control stations…a third and fourth net control station would really help lighten the load. Please consider giving it a shot!!!
